Recruiting Suite
First impressions last a lifetime
Role: Co-Designer
The current state of a transitional space located between a lobby and a recruiting suite was confusing to navigate and had a very corporate feel. We developed and socialized a series of interactive installations that could be implemented in the space to dynamically transform it into a memorable and fun moment that sets a tone for a positive interviewing experience.
Design Approach
We went through three rounds of iterations at various levels of fidelity…
Round 1 consisted of a diverse set of concept strategies based on initial conversations with stakeholders. These were all lo-fi sketches, an appropriate amount of definition to just see what resonates.
We took it up a notch for round 2, taking the two most popular concepts and developing them to a point where we could weigh the pros and cons of each and move forward with a single direction. At this stage we also began exploring peripheral experiences in the space.
After landing on one concept strategy (which we referred to as ‘Pixelated Space’) we began to focus on aesthetic details and digital interactions.
Pixels gesturally act as wayfinding throughout the space
Ultimately, we had to pause production on this installation as the company shifted to a hybrid working model.

Opportunities + Constraints
Pre-Experience; Build anticipation and curiosity before even entering suite while respecting lobby aesthetic.
Content should communicate a feeling, rather than information.
Automatically engaging via a passive interaction - guests shouldn’t have to “figure it out.”
